Pros: Low price, I found lots of other similar tools for close to twice the price.
Quality, the tool works great.
Functionality, even has a slot for stripping round cable so that you do not damage wires in the flat cable stripper. Cons: Comfort, the handle is high density plastic. I would like a softer grip for doing large batches of patch cable.
Ratchet lock, does not really lock as the description says, but it does keep you from doing a half way crimp. It also gets in the way when cutting long sections from spools. Overall Review: Well worth the money.

Pros: Cheap, works great. Solid piece of equipment. Cons: None really, but see below. Overall Review: You do have to be careful using the stripper or it will cut through into the wires. But once you realize that and watch what you are doing it works just fine.

Pros: Very Nice crimper. The cutting blades work very well. Cons: None so far

Pros: It works fine. Comfortable grips. Cons: Trendnet, the manufacturer of this product, has a commercial grade of this same tool. Granted it costs a few more dollars, it is well worth it. The ratchet mechanism is weak in design. Overall Review: My first crimper was the commercial grade model. This one is ok for the home user that doesn’t use it frequently.

Pros: Hard to believe that my company pays 4X as much for a tool like this. Been using this tool for several cable runs the last few days and have’t had a single problem. Cons: None. Overall Review: Great little crimp tool. Has all the features of the more expensive models. Definitely worth the money to have around the house just in case you break a LAN cable/connector.

Pros: …a nickel and an EXCELLENT crimper! solid construction. ratchet works well. crimped about 250 ends and still working GREAT! stripper blades are SHARP! Cons: stripper blades are SHARP! (well, not really a con, but when I was putting this tool in my back pocket while up on a ladder, lost my balance, and hand slipped, the razor blade sliced my finger good) and the blades are still SHARP! Overall Review: on my set, the ratchet did jam after about 2 months of heavy use, but i was able to fix the issue by just pulling on the handles a little. Other than that, i’ve been using my set for about 7 months heavily with no other issues.
for the $$$, can’t beat ’em.
I’ve paid more for other brands, and they didn’t last NEAR as long as these have.
If you need RJ-45 crimpers, look no further…

Pros: Not much to say about this. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the low price, but this is a solid tool, well constructed, with good features.
If you are going to use the built in wire stripper for CAT6 only click in the stripper blades two times. You have to be very careful, because the tool ratchets down WAY more after just two clicks. But because of the plastic guard that runs through the middle of CAT6, it puts the wires closer to the coating and doesn’t give room for them to squeeze inwards. If you ratchet down further you will cut the wires. So again, two clicks. Then just twist the wire around in the blades or spin the crimper around the wire (like you would with an older CAT5 wire stripper) to get a full cut. Cons: None at this price range. Very good feeling tool Overall Review: Hope my advice on CAT6 helps someone. I went through a few inches of cable before I got it down.

Pros: If I could rate this higher than 5 eggs, I would. Worth every penny, I would’ve paid twice what I did for them! Ratcheting feature is very nice, crimps RJ45 ends so easily. Cons: Ratcheting “lock” feature can be a pain Overall Review: Buy them, don’t think – just buy. You’ll be glad you did. I have a pair at work and a pair at home. I have thousands of crimps on my work pair and hundreds on my home pair – both work flawlessly.
